Hello! Thank you for your help in supporting Alpha Kappa Psi and our eScrip fundraising program. Your contributions will be greatly appreciated. Alpha Kappa Psi recognizes that we are the premier developer of principled business leaders. Here at Southeast, the Zeta Omicron chapter upholds this philosophy in all we do. Every semester, we host professional events in which we invite local business professionals to come and speak to our membership and other students. In addition, we do several community service projects such as bell ringing for the Salvation Army, Highway Cleanup, and more. As a member of our eScrip program, you can help provide our Chapter with funds to continue to host these events and enable us to increase our ability to help business students and members of the community alike. Below are some frequently asked questions about our eScrip fundraising program and instructions how to register.

 

Q: What is the eScrip Fundraiser?

A: Electronic Scrip Incorporated (ESI) is a California-based corporation dedicated to establishing relationships between commerce and community -- to provide resources to organizations and projects that support youth, students, and communities. ESI introduced the eScrip program in 1999 and has distributed over $250 million to schools and youth organizations across the country. ESI is the creator of the eScrip program that we will be using. It’s very user-friendly and if you need any help, our organization will be here to provide answers to any questions you may have. 


Q: How does this fundraiser work?

A: You use the eScrip program/website to register grocery loyalty cards, credit cards, and ATM/debit cards that you use frequently, and in return, a percentage of your purchase at a participating merchant is sent to our organization with no extra costs to you! More specifically, here are a few main points to review:
1. You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program.
2. Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered.
3. Your purchases are tracked and available for your review online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning for your selected organization(s). As a supporter of an organization, you also give us the ability to see just how much you contribute to our organization so we can say Thank You!


Q: Who are the participating merchants? 

A: For the most part, our main merchant will most likely be Schnuck’s Markets within the Midwest. There are hundreds of merchants though. You can also register the credit/debit cards you use most frequently to make restaurant purchases (more for those supporters in the St. Louis area), and there is an online mall where you can do all of your shopping through major merchants like Amazon.com, Macy’s, and JC Penney’s. There are many ways to support our organization via simple purchases that you make every day and we would greatly appreciate your support! In the documents section, I will upload a word document with a list of local merchants who participate in the eScrip program. You will also be able to view all the merchants in many locations once you register to become a supporter. 


Q: How do you become a supporter?

A: This part is easy! Simply drop into one of your local Schnuck’s Grocery Stores and obtain a Schnuck’s Community Card from the Service Desk. Please make sure it is in fact a Community Card in order for it to work no matter where you are. Then, as the card will tell you, you can call an 800 number or activate the card online. I suggest doing it online at the website provided. When you register, you will be asked to provide personal information. Please provide a valid email address and phone number so that we can thank you for your valuable contributions. You will be asked to register your grocery cards (Schnucks Cards) as well as any frequently used credit/debit cards so you can be enrolled in the restaurant participation program. Please register as many cards as possible for a maximum contribution.

**Keep in mind that we are not responsible for misuse of credit card information. We cannot see any of that information and eScrip will keep your information confidential as well. Just be sure that when you are completing the registration process that you use a secure and safe connection to do so before entering credit card information.**


Q: Where do you find the Group ID number for AKPsi?

 

A: You will need this information to search for our organization and register with us as a supporter. You can search several ways, but the quickest two ways are by Name and Group ID. Our information is as follows:

Q: Does it cost you anything to register?

A: Absolutely NOT! This program is completely free. When you spend money, we earn a percentage of your purchases back via the program. There is no extra cost to you and no hidden fees. You just help support our organization by purchasing everyday items.
